These Terms govern your use of the Xplore Dados platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.
These Terms and Conditions of Use govern access to and use of the Xplore Dados platform. By creating an account, accepting them on the platform, or using any tool, you declare that you have read, understood and agreed to them, and to the Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of this agreement.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the platform.
Xplore Dados offers tools for academic research and data analysis, including bibliometric analysis, article review, reference checking, journal formatting and search, gap detection, article shortening, and an assistant for scientific writing. Some tools use artificial intelligence, as described in section 6.
We may add, change or discontinue tools. When a tool is discontinued, we will give notice on the platform in advance whenever it is possible to do so.
Creating an account requires being at least 18 years old and providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
Access to the tools is by subscription plan or by credits, as described on the plans page. Credit consumption per tool is shown before each run.
The platform's tools produce results using artificial intelligence models. AI output is probabilistic, not deterministic: it may contain errors, imprecise data, incorrect interpretations, and references that do not exist or do not say what the result claims they say.
The same request may produce different results at different times. That is inherent to the technology and is not a defect in the service.
You retain all rights over the content you submit. We claim no ownership over your texts, files or results.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process and transmit that content to third-party providers strictly to the extent necessary to operate the tool you requested, as described in the Privacy Policy.
The platform must be used for lawful academic and professional purposes.
Violating this section may result in suspension or termination of the account, as described in section 13.
You are the author responsible for any work produced with the platform's support. The Result is a working input, not a finished product, and it does not replace your authorship, your critical judgment or your verification.
Rules on the use of artificial intelligence vary by journal, publisher, funding agency and institution. Checking and complying with the rules applicable to your case, including any obligation to disclose the use of AI, is your responsibility.
The platform depends on third-party services, including AI providers, hosting, database and payment processing. We select these providers with care and answer for that selection with respect to the processing of your personal data.
We are not liable, however, for provider outages, latency, changes to or discontinuation of models, changes to their pricing or terms, or for any interruption of the service caused by a third party. When a provider changes a model or discontinues one, we may replace it with an equivalent without prior notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data caused by third parties, or missed deadlines, including but not limited to: rejection of an article by a journal, loss of a submission deadline, an academic misconduct accusation, or any academic, professional or clinical decision made on the basis of a result produced by the platform.
The platform, its interface, source code, brand, texts, prompts and methodologies belong to Xplore Dados and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited license to use the service, and transfer no ownership.
The Results you generate from your own content belong to you, as stated in section 7.
You may terminate your account at any time in My Account. Termination follows the retention and deletion rules described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy, which also states what deletion does not reach automatically and how to ask us to erase it.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, that presents a security or fraud risk, or when required by law. Whenever possible, we will give prior notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation. In case of termination for violation, credits already paid for and not consumed are refunded, except where the violation caused us verifiable harm.
We may update these Terms. Every version carries a date, and the current version is always available on this page.
When we publish a new version, you will be notified on the platform and asked to accept it again. Continuing to use the platform after the deadline stated in that notice requires accepting the new version.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the user's domicile, when the user qualifies as a consumer, or in the courts of the district of the company's registered office otherwise.
